EA lies about my license limit being reached on C&C Red Alert 3.

Hello,

I would like to know why the hell EA has blocked me out of my C&C Red Alert 3?

When I try to access my game via desktop or Origin I get this message.

The License limit for this product has been reached. Please visit http://support.ea.com to contact EA support for further assistance.

What license limit are they talking about? And how the hell can I contact support when there is no support structure that allows me to contact and get help regarding this? The site is appaling for contact.

Now I bought this product retail, on disc, some time back, I am the sole owner and user, and it has only ever been on two or three PC's, in fact the the I still own, socket 775 that shows you how long.

Care to exp[lain to me why EA are stealing from me?

And what is with the retarded selection for games, are EA unable to develope a website and help centre? I can only choose The ultimate collection as you offer no support for PAID FOR PRODUCTS.

  • Thankyou for the link.

But pray tell, how does that help when the game is only on two PC's and was previously de-authorized from one?

According to someone this can also happen when someone re-installs Windows or hardware. Is this the case?

To reliterate from previous unreplied to, and going nowhere threads and contact with EA, I have only had three PC's since I bought this game full retail at its release, one had all games de-autherized when I gave the PC to my sister, the other two I still use, one of which has had to have a new W7 license a couple of months back and recently a new GPU.

The game worked on both PC's within the last month. No change this month apart from the GPU.

Now maybe instead of sarcastic smileys you could actually think of some sollution to this, or am I to remain a victim of EA's appaling developement and customer support?

  • What if the PC you installed it on is no longer windows but Linux, and was windows xp, windows 7, windows 8, windows vista and windows 10. It has had multiple hardware upgrades as well. How do I de-authorize red alert 3 from those machines? Will EA provide me with a time machine so I can get this done?
