error 503s & general system error - cannot login!

I have tried to log into the game as well with no success. I figured out that at the main log in if you keep typing in your username and password over and over it will eventually work. The thing is, is when I try putting in my CD key from steam i keep getting a general system error. Please help!

Figured out the issue!

It seems that if this is bought through steam, the product key is not assigned/attatched to the relevant EA account, so this has to be done separately in order for the game to launch

This is how i did it

Go to
https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/
Start typing tiberian in the search & the game image will display below
click the game image
click Technical support
click Game won't launch
click select contact option
sign in to your 'EA account' (if your not already signed in)
scroll down to chat section & start the chat
you will be connected to someone from EA/Origin tech support
tell them the issue and they will see that the product key is not assigned/attatched to your EA account hence why the game wont load
they will assign/attach it immediately & you will then we able to launch the game!

Thanks mate, think it's really helpful if live in the US.

But seems EA not friendly to overseas players. I sent my issue and been told someone will contact me soon. 

And soon means 1 day later still no one contact me.

I bought the game with "Steam", I did everything. I logged on and put the correct registration code, but after I put the registration code. It said "General Error"... If you have a working solution please tell me.

Thank you. Took 5 minutes but the 'chat' assistant worked the fix for me.
