error message string failure black screen on red alert 2

I just got C@C the first decade receive a error message when starting red alert 2 string failure. if i dont get the message the screen is black and hear the audio but no video during the opening movie. get to the menu no buttons or display just screen accents can you help.

You sometimes get the string manager failure error but not always?
