Game is stealing resources during building upgrades

Same issue on Wrath 5. This has happened several times across tiberium, crystals, and power. Just did an upgrade of a wall from 16-17 that was supposed to cost 76K tiberium. It took over 700K when I clicked upgrade!!! Same thing with power. It was supposed to cost about 19K, but it took around 200K. Please help resolve this...
