Game progress wiped

How often does the bug occur? Rarely (0% - 9%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure, you'd probabably have to crash a computer while loading C&C remastered.
What happens when the bug occurs? My PC crashed (due to a power failure, I believe) just as I was loading C&C Tiberian Dawn Remastered . Once I rebooted, all progress in game was wiped. The mission selection screen had no missions completed, and everything unlocked in the bonus gallery was locked again. Save files were still present, however. Red Alert Remastered wasn't affected, luckily. I had to disable steam cloud synchronization early on because the game was slowed down immnensly by the number of save files, so I had no luck in resynchronizing.
What do you expect to see? I would've wished that the campaign progress itself was stored/handled in a more foolproof way.

I'm daunted by having to recomplete so many of the missions on hard difficulty. Sure, I can use the save files I have backed up manually to complete them faster, but that's still quite tedious.
