Gameplay stuck in widescreen

Product: Command & Conquer Remastered
Platform:Steam-PC
Summarize your bug Resolution 1280x1024 doesn't work during gameplay. Only on menus.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? - Plug in a 1280x1024 monitor - Set resolution as such - Start a new game.
What happens when the bug occurs? Instead of actually filling the 1280x1024 resolution, it adds top and bottom black bars.
What do you expect to see? Gameplay in fullscreen.

    @darthgtb hey buddy, were you able to zoom in or zoom out on units/structure/terrain?
    I understand it is a little discomforting to be stuck with black bars on top & bottom.

    i guess, Jim had notified that, the game may have some difficulty to optimize to certain resolution due to the graphical limitation ( you have to understand that its a remaster rather than remake, so some aspect are not 100% perfect).
