How does medal gain/loss work?

Anyone knows what determines how much medals I gain or lose from a match? I had some games where I felt like I was playing out of my mind and I only won like 10-12, but then I have games where I am at least 2 levels outleveled, against tech units, but then out of nowhere I lose 21 medals, which is like whut that's a lot. Just wondering what determines the changes to the medals?

  • If its not a challenge match due to unit levels (which have very specific requirements and require your units to be relatively high level too) then the only thing that determines points won and lost is your and your opponents rating relevant to each other. Unit levels are irrelevant.

  • What rating is this based on then? Can't be medals if someone who has more medals than me in Tiberium league results in me losing 21 points??

  • its a players medal count if yours is higher then youll loose more and vice versa but in all reality it is completely jacked up

you win/lose 17.5 (rounded) medals if you have the exact same medal count. Up and down from there.

Keep in mind, this is not total medals. If it's you GDI VS their GDI, then it's strictly your medal count between your GDI VS their GDI. Nothing else is calculated.
  • but this is not fair. most of the times I play with way way higher level units rather than units I never unblocked and when i win I have 12-15 medals. and when I lose -20-22

just how the brain works. You tend to only pay attention to the loses over the gains. Not to mention the upper tiers of medal gain (+25) are challenge battles. So they are worth 50 instead.
