wifi is known to caust lag and issues. Rivals barely sips any data, I encourage you to try it. See how much it uses, and how much you lag without it. I prefer playing on data myself.
I prefer on Wifi. I once connected by it and not by direct Ethernet connection. Once I used Ethernet connections, it all worked well - as in no lag. Btw can any android phone or table accept a direct internet connection via Ethernet cables?
