Is there a place I can find C&C story until 4?
To be completely honest, they made quite a mess of the storyline in C&C4, and Alliances just seems to throw everything out of the window and makes a complete jumble of it, actually using explicitly killed characters from the previous games...
My advice, if you don't want to play the games, go find the collections of cutscenes for both sides in each game on youtube and watch them through.
Though in my opinion, even the older games are well-worth playing. And the unofficial patches give high resolution to all of them. (though it may not be advised; it just makes the play field bigger, and thus the units on screen smaller)
Also note that Command & Conquer, Red Alert 1 and Tiberian Sun are freeware, so even if you don't own the Ultimate Collection, you can get them anyway.
