Is there a way to ally up during online gaming?

In the original version if you were playing with other people, you could click on one of their units and then click "A" which would then ally you with them, and you can play together as a team.  Does...

Ok, cool.  Thank you very much for getting back to me.  How do you set them up in the lobby?

You'll find this in the Drop-Down menu on the side of your Player Slot.

Where it says Team 1 by Default for the Hosting Player. Next to where you select House Colour.
