Minimizing Repeatedly on Older Titles

Not sure what "standard fixes" you tried, but these are the latest versions of the unofficial patches available for the older games:

Command & Conquer 1:

• Nyerguds' C&C95 v1.06c revision 3 patch (which also adds bonus missions originally exclusive to the Playstation and Nintendo 64 versions of the game)

Red Alert 1:

• Funkyfr3sh's automatic Red Alert 1 patcher/installer
• Nyerguds' main.mix cleanup for TFD/TUC (Not really needed, but cleans up about a gigabyte of unnecessary files in the RA1 folder. Unpack in the game folder, run "patch_main.bat", let it finish, and then delete the files you extracted.)

Tiberian Sun:

• Funkyfr3sh's Tiberian Sun patch

Red Alert 2:

• The graphics system patch DDWrapper is known to solve the "black screen" issue.
  Download the zip file and extract "ddraw.dll" and "aqrit.cfg" into your game folder. Then, open the configuration file "aqrit.cfg" in Notepad, change the "ForceDirectDrawEmulation" option to 1, save the file, and the game should work.

Sadly the games run just fine... but that is only when they don't minimize which is my problem because I have taken several steps to try and fix it.

I have tried using, fixed exes, windowed as well resolution changes, for Renegade I followed the steps of running the WWConfig as Admin and disabling auto-updates, DDWrapper was one of the fixes I tried with Red Alert 2 and it didn't solve the issue.

With Red Alert 2 there hasn't been any problem with the black screen, menus, or even lag but the game minimizes during the EA logo video after a second and the keeps minimizing if I try to open it Renegade also does this but sometimes they do work I can play them... Basically every nine times out of ten they have this issue but there is that one time they run just fine. 

From my understanding resolution isn't factor (Renegade set to 1920 by 1080 still had this issue and the settings did save) and that all the games do run but not consistently.

Honestly I have no idea what the real problem is it may just be my laptop but I thought I should check.

Wait, so with "older games" you just mean Renegade and RA2?

Really, you should specify such things instead of just saying "all of the older games".

A quick google for "RA2 minimize" got me this solution:

• Get Bibber's fixed TUC launchers (ModDB link since Bibber's own site seems to be under maintenance)
• Set RA2 and YR to run as administrator and in compatibility mode for Windows 98.
• If necessary, apply the C&C Graphics Patcher: http://www.stuffhost.de/files/cnc/

It's also advised to disable Origin In Game for all these games. This can be done in the games' properties in the Origin application.

No it does it with all of them, I thought to only to mention those two cause they don't have other versions like the TS Moddb Launcher or your TD Unofficial Patch.

They all minimize at the same time right in first second of that opening video bit (So Westwood for TD and RA and then the W for TS) only exception is Renegade which does it on the menu, in fact oddly enough Sole Survivor also has this issue and minimizes with it's video intro too. 

Origin has been disabled on all of them already that graphical patch I just tried and no luck...

Very peculiar issue... I'd heard of such problems on RA2, but never on C&C/RA1, especially with the patches we got now. What kind of laptop is this, specifically?

Does enabling or disabling CnC-DDraw in the configuration tool of C&C95 (CCConfig.exe, in the game folder) make any difference? You mentioned windowed mode... did you try that in C&C95 too? It's one of the extras added by the CnC-DDraw graphics fix. And if so, what exactly did that do when you tried it?

Sorry for the late reply I run an Acer Aspire V3 772G-9643 Updated from Windows 8 to 10, as for the suggested settings they minimize on the main menu still so no luck there.

As for Windowed the game either loads up black screen with no audio or just minimizes and stays in the task bar not even attempting to maximize if you click it.

The only older game I have gotten to run is TS with the Dawn of the Tiberian age Launcher so far.

Probably a long shot, but, since Win7 and later don't give any useful right click options on the taskbar anymore... have you tried restoring such stuck minimized windows through Task Manager? It still gives the full options when you right click an entry in the "Applications" tab.

It doesn't appear to have made a difference compared to normal... I tried opening some of them about 15 minutes before I posted this.

RA didn't minimize four of five times launching it, TD three of five, but RA2 one of five, Renegade was only one that didn't work out of tests and just kept minimizing itself, more interesting though is for the ones that did work my desktop and any open windows would flash randomly every once in a while but wouldn't effect the game and I could also alt-tab out and back into them as well.

Honestly it just seems random I tried watching what programs came up and how much cpu/disk with no difference in any of the attempts.
