Multiplayer LAN

Hi

Just purchased Command & Conquer and wants to play it in multiplayer over LAN with other family members on their computers.

Problem seems to be that I have installed it from same user in EA app on both computers (Error with same serial number when connection to created game).

Do I really need to buy the game twice to be able to play it multiplayer on network LAN or is there any other solution?

    @moke33dd I don't think the digital download versions of the game actually use the serial numbers. You should be able to open the Windows registry and change one of them so they're different on both PCs. I know this works for RA2, anyway...

    The registry key for Generals and Zero Hour should be

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Generals\ergc

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA Games\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour\ergc

    @moke33dd It was honestly a lucky guess; I just knew it worked in RA2. Thanks for confirming that it works; that can help out more people 🙌

    Had problem running more than 2 player on LAN RA2 WIN11. (IPXWRAPPER 7.0 to get IPX protokol)

    have installed serial nr on all computer, don't know if needed but it didn't work as supposed to. (not removed after)

    Could find all thre computer but one standing as waiting.

    Made WIFI mobile sone and connected the others computer to shared network. Also hooked on Proxy server on the one who shared the network. If needed I don't know was happy when all comtupers talk together and I can play with my children on LAN.

    I was also able too run throug a cablet network but don't remember the setup when testing for WIFI. but I remeber I had to share the network on one computer and disconnect WIFI on the others to get it work.Could not start the program thru EA games on the other computer without sharing network.
