[Updated]: After 12 hours of doing below, I just re-opening EA App and try to Download again. It's work, I don't know why but just one thing I notice is the size of the file difference from approx. 8 GB to 15 GB. Not sure why it works. Now I can download and install, and play the game. Hope something below help.

I have the same issue. EA support online suggest some solutions.

    • Check DirectX 9.0c Method1: Press Win + R, type dxdiag, and press Enter. In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, look at the DirectX Version line under the System tab. (Note: This will show your system’s main DirectX version (like DirectX 12 on Windows 10/11), not specifically if DirectX 9.0c is present.)
    • Check DirectX 9.0c Method2: C:\Windows\System32 Look for files named like d3dx9_*.dll (for example, d3dx9_43.dll). If these files exist, DirectX 9.0c components are present.
    • Temporarily disable Antivirus/Firewall
    • Clear the EA App Cache: Use the App Recovery tool in the EA App. Go to top left of EA App then click triple dash > Help > App Recovery
    • Delete Cache Manually: Open the Run dialog (Win + R), type %localappdata%, and press Enter. Delete the EADesktop and Electronic Arts folders.
    • Run EA App as Administrator
    • Reinstall/Uninstall the EA App
    • Update Windows and Drivers

Same issue today with the same game, and it's also part of the collection for me. Tried contacting support, but sadly their suggested fixes (clearing the app cache, installing latest app version, checking if game is hidden) did not work for me.

The problem solved itself for me, so maybe they were having issues with the licensing servers, check if yours also has been miraculously fixed. And otherwise try opening another ticket and/or bumping this thread.

I am also dealing with this issue with red alert 3. I just downloaded cnc 3 and then got this message when i tried getting red alert 3. I spoke extensively with EA about it and they are working on it as we speak.

    Hi,

Same problem here: I can see the game in my library, but if I try to install it, the EA app says: I don’t have this software. I have the box for this game, so I’ll try to add this using the serial number; it says "series already used" (oh really, yes because that’s the game I bought and added to my account from EA, formerly Origin, a few years ago!)

It would be interesting for EA to fulfill its end-user license contract by giving access to the game we bought from them, because the more years go by, the less it makes me want to invest in their licenses. I had a similar problem with the command and conquer tiberium war. It was impossible to reinstall it and play there several years later.

We pay a high price for games to have much worse follow-up than that of the small, independent studios.

Hello, sorry to hear you're running into this. I took a quick look, and it appears your account does have the entitlement.

Could you let me know whether the pop-up you're seeing is the same as the one discussed in this thread?

If so, you may want to try some of the methods and workarounds shared by other players there:

    • Check DirectX 9.0c Method1: Press Win + R, type dxdiag, and press Enter. In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, look at the DirectX Version line under the System tab. (Note: This will show your system’s main DirectX version (like DirectX 12 on Windows 10/11), not specifically if DirectX 9.0c is present.)

    Hello LunardustCat,

I confirm that I have this same window as in the Post you mentioned (but in French)

I tried all the things listed:
    - Direct installation X 9.0c (August 2008) and verification of the presence of DLLs
    - Windows Update and Driver Check
    - Disable firewall and anti-virus
    - empty the cache via the application and manual deletion of folders
    - Uninstall EA App
    -Installing EA App
    -Launch as administrator

The problem is always the same pop up..

I’ve moved your post to a more relevant thread.

Please try the basic EA app steps again: sign out and back in, then check that the game isn’t hidden in your Library and that you’re using the correct EA account.

If the game is still missing after that, please contact EA Help so our support team can verify the account entitlement. When you reach out, please include proof of purchase or the redeemed code if possible, clarify whether you own Command & Conquer: The Ultimate Collection rather than Command & Conquer Remastered Collection, and mention whether this issue only affects Red Alert 3 or multiple Command & Conquer titles. Thanks!
