My old Command and Conquer Kane's Wrath saves keep being wiped?

I was wondering if anyone can tell me why why old Command and Conquer Kanes Wrath and Tiberium Wars saves keep getting wiped. All my save data from missions, difficulties and skirmishes keeps gettin...

Hey there, 

This might be related to a recent change to the names for save folders. You should be able to access your existing saves by changing the names of the following folders: 

  • Change folder names from Command and Conquer 3 Kanes Wrath to Command & Conquer 3 Kanes Wrath in the following locations:

    • C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Command and Conquer 3 Kanes Wrath

    • C:\Users\<user name>\SavedGames\Command and Conquer 3 Kanes Wrath

    • C:\Users\<user name>\Documents\Command and Conquer 3 Kanes Wrath/Profiles

a)Why is this ancient game being updated (it's stable)?

b)why didn't I get a choice on whether or not to update?
