Can the Slingshot shoot the enemy Base?
I've tried to scope out Slingshot replays in C&C TV, but found quite a few games where the opponent goes only ground, literally making Slingshot useless.
Even Hammerhead and Phanton can be useful versus only ground units because they can sneak around, scout, and also attack the enemy base.
With the 2-tile range Slingshots could be good at finishing off vulnerable Bases.

It does, I once had a practice match with my alliance member, @xMaksuss. It turns out that the slingshot can fire at the enemy base. It can easily go toe to to with banshees and orcas. The question is, is it ok against the basilisk/kodiak? In that particular match, I was testing the tiberium based units to see who can explode, namely mutant marauder, chem buggy and chem warriors. I even goofed off on a battle where my enemy disconnected. Its entirely possible to lose as Jade if opponent has disconnected and he has no units on any of the pads. All one needs to do to get this hilarious feat is to have chem units explode next to your base. It takes about 12 units if your units are the same level as your character card. I exploded 10 units and my base dropped to 25% health remaining.
