Petition: Native MacOS Support for Command and Conquer Remaster

Writing on  behalf of some friends, to have the remaster available for MacOS without the need of VMs and Boot Camps.
Would be awesome if this gets MacOS Support!

Help us Mac Users, give us that TLC that we need! Thanks!!!
Ridiculous without it!

I'm a Windows 7 User, but even I would agree, need more players.

From EA's perspective, it just means more money for them if they made it operational. However, the coding side of it does pose some challenges. So I understand that they haven't got round to it thus far. Though, looking at what a pig-ear they've made of the Remaster at this point, I can't imagine they will release MAC OS Support anywhere this side of 2021.

No offence to the programming team, as they've done as good of a job as they could up to this point, given they didn't get given a lot of time in order to complete the Remastered Version. I would hold the managers of EA responsible for rushing the project. I would have preferred a finished product that had time spent on it, than this which is broken in more places than I can count.

Point being, I'd like to see more players, either to have as allies along the oceans, or to crush under the treads of my tanks. So +1 to your petition.
  • Same here, a game like C&C Remaster would have been a no-brainer to work on mac as the spec requirements are quite low. Hopefully it gets added later on, or it gets added with future remasters. That said, if this one doesn't get supported, I won't be getting my hopes up for future ones.

Didn't the original game run on MAC in the beginning anyway?
    Or am I mistaken.

I also +1 you petition, it would mean more player to play with.

With that logic, we'd need a Nintendo 64 version of the Remaster, though 😛

  • I did play RA1 on the PS1 and even Tiberium Dawn for the Sega Saturn. Frankly the remaster should be universal for all current modern OS.

That said, lack of Native MacOS / Linux Support is really complete utter Bu11$h1T really.

  • Would be good to see it. I literally installed bootcamp on my iMac with the soul purpose to play this game. Thats how desperate I was - best decision yet!

  • It did run on Macs. I still have the cds and dvds. Was great game and while i can play on my mac in pc mode it is much better on the mac side.
