@Marine_CorporaIThe point is that it shouldn't matter what league you're in. Rather this is a commentary on the shoddy design of this whole game regarding "progression" which is just a big grind wherein you're constantly being reminded that you can pay to progress faster.
It entirely causes a bad experience for those who have a desire to play a game where the only reason you lose is a matter of overall skill.
I can play Dota 2 for thousands of hours and never do I feel intruded upon to spend money to "be on par" with others. Valve does have other means to get my money with limited time only cosmetic effects and stuff, but it never impacts how well I can win.
So in this game your mmr will easily rise above the average of your current content unlock amount. And then the game makes you play with the bad to average players, and sometimes good players of a higher content unlocked value.
League of legends kind of makes players do this too except that it can be forgive. Because it's only normal and not ranked, also league tries to set actual barriers at certain "content unlock" amounts.
I guess this is just another reminder to myself why I never liked EA. On my origins account, the only game i purchased with real cash was sim city, the one from like 2011 or 12. That was back when ea kept getting voted worst company in America. Well i have like 20 other games in my original library, all of which were given as handouts from ea in some capacity, but I never really played any of them. Most all the modern games in that handout allotment were also littered with microtransactions like some need for speed game that literally had cars sitting around the city that would tell you "pay to drive this car". Idk, ea just knows the target audience they can make money from, but I will never have respect for their games, never would I call them "art" ever either. That's reserved for few games anyway.
I only just installed this game today.
Uninstalling it today as well.
It was fun, but obvious pay grind, not as a big of a skill grind.
