Re: All mission progress lost, and all settings reset
@SheManBathWater hey buddy... well, technically, it appears that "ccleaner" or any other anti-virus software must have deleted some of the data related to the game, from the looks of it, you have lost the "player_TD/RA_settings_1.bin" files due it.
just want to know, if you have enabled the "auto-save" in steam? if so, did you try to recover the lost data. (check youtube/google on the right steps to recover it).
if it does not work, ( I am not sure about this solution , so try at your own risk)
1. logout & close steam client.
2.Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<game id>\1213210\remote
3.you will find "player_TD/RA_settings_1.bin" file
4. copy those file to any other location and then delete the file from the above mentioned path
5. launch steam again and login. ( this should technically force steam to re-download the player profile file back)
6. right click on the game properties & navigate to "local files" tab and just click on "verify integrity of the game files".
7. once you have done it, launch the game.
Note: it works sometimes but i would warn you and cannot promise that it will work.
If you wish to try this workaround, try at own risk.
