How I could solve the issue in C&C and covert ops:
Step1:
- Go to Control Panel (the desktop version).
- Clock and Region.
- Region.
- Click on the Administrative tab on the top.
- Under Language for non-Unicode programs, select the button Change system locale,
then select English (United States) ortick Beta: use unicode utf-8 for worldwide language support. - Restart your computer.
Step2:
- Open CONQUER.INI
- Change lines to this:
- Resolution=0
HardwareFills=1
VideoBackBuffer=1
Compatibility=1
@mrtnptrs Yes i try that. Game runs, but crach after 15 minutes or so, without any report. Playing over CnCNet i dont have that problems.....Game runs smoothly there, but i can play only Yuri there and only their maps...
I wasnt rude towards you, at least i as I understand that. I only asked you why you think that crash isnt connected to this?
Everything starts with 24.01. update and both Origin and EA doesnt help at all...
They just ignore problems and us..

@RaspistoljubivojAs I already told you, please make a new topic about this; the problem in this thread is about the games not starting, NOT a crash in-game. So, most likely a seperate problem. Please make a new topic about it and I and other people of the community will be glad to help you out 🙂 Btw, I thought you were starting to get rude when you said "Being nice aint helps..." But apparently you didn't mean it that way. Lets discuss this all in a new topic 🙂

@RaspistoljubivojYou're sure it is not just coincidence? Because crashes with the older CnC games are much more common then you might think... Again, the issue discussed in this topic is that the games don't launch, for you the game launches, but crashes after 15 minutes.... so, it is not the same issue.... Please don't hijack this topic with your unrelated issue, as this topic is already messy enough with people asking the same questions over and over again haha. So, as I said; just simply make a new topic so we can help you... 🙂
@mrtnptrsI still doesnt understand your point. If everything bad with game starts after 24.01. and till then Ultimate collection works good, why my crash cant be also related to that Origin "downgrade" Also Tiberian Sun doesnt work, also after 24.01. does that part od Ulti collection needs new topic?
I doubt new topic would solve anything....
EA and Origin just dont give f..k about players, thats all...

2. This bug (fromm point 1) has nothing to do with an in-game crash. As I already told you. Also, crashes in the old CNC games happen more often, as II also already told you.
3. I politely told you a few times to make a new topic because of point 2. You refuse to do this because you apparently think that your in-game crash issue is related to a launching-game issue? Huh???
4. I friendly ask you to not hijack this topic after I told you Point 2 a few times. Apparently that makes me rude and somehow insult you? While you are actually the one refusing to follow a very simple instruction of making a new topic. Why? It is so easy to make a new topic....
5. You complained already a few times how EA apparently doesn't wanna help you in your opinion: "EA and Origin just dont give f..k about players, thats all.." and "Being nice aint helps... They just dont answer at all..." and "Its apsurd that i payed for something i played 13 days?!" and "so EA, why you bohering with updates anyway?" and "I will never ever buy anything from EA or Origin..." and "Seems like there isnt anyone not EA not Origin want to help us" and "SHAME" and "I cant belive this sh.t" and "Sadly EA really doesnt deserve to spend money on their products ever again!" and "So i start to swear, so they ban me... Even in my opinion it is rude as you have been saying these things from the start... Please don't expect EA support staff to know fixes for these very old games.... Please be patient instead of complaining from the very beginning every few days about how this issue hasn't been fixed yet... And yes, if you start swearing, people will ban and ignore you. 7. Point 5 is also invalid, because the EA community manager already said in this topic that they are working on a fix for the launching problems at the Origin-team. @mrtnptrsquote: "2. You mate just dont wanna listen/read (same goes for Origin and EA help), game crash starts with Origin update 24.01. Before game didnt crash. So i strongly belive that is connected with that update.

I play Yuri over CnCNet game never crash. Thats the 2nd reason why i belive update 24.01. is CRAP
Nice of you that collected all my replies together, maybe someone from EA or Origin try to do something, but i strongly doubt. Also i am sure they know where the problem is, just they dont care about customers.

So i asked you again should i make new topic about Tiberian Sun, that game also do not launch after 24.01... How many new topics we need for same s..ty update 24.01.
And yes i play game i have bought only for 13 days, that is also i should accept like normal? and wait for something...

-Yes, I read about your problems. But I heard many times before (and also had them myself) of crashes with the older CNC games. I already said that a few times. You saying that that is invalid..... hmmmm bit strange.
-Lets assume that your mid-game crashing issues are somehow also caused by a (seperate) issue introduced by the Origin-24.01-update; the title of this topic says "Can't LAUNCH C&C:The_Ultimate_Collection games after 24.01.2020 (unified thread)" So, if you think you've encountered another bug with this new update of Origin, please make a new topic about it as the title clearly indicates that it is just about the launch issue.
-I haven't heard anyone recently complain about mid-game crashes that couldn't be fixed with other solutions and happened after the Origin-update. So, that makes it much more unlikely that your mid-game crashing issue is caused by the Origin-update.
-If I already gave your a workaround for the launch issue and the CnCNet version works perfectly for you, then why don't you use that version to be honest?

-And yes, a EA employee asked for a error report as they wanted to gather more information to find the root cause of the problem. Are you now even complaining about them gathering information to fix the issue?!
-Collecting some of your previous answers was to show that you've been complaining and being rude from day 1. If you want help, you can at least treat the others like human beings...
-Please stop with complaining about EA and Origin; we know now what you think and you have literally been saying it from day 1. You didn't even give them a chance of fixing the problem and you already talked about how stupid EA is in your eyes. Being rude and constantly complaining about everything just makes it much less likely that people want to help you...

Should i make new topic for every bit of segment from C&C ultimate collection, but all problems started after 24.01. update and all related to the same ultimate collection?
Second, i have been not rude from start, you uote my posts but you still didnt understand from my posts that i start conversation woth EA agents, EA chat, Origin help, politely and with respect as everyone deserve. So i will explain to you once more.
After my 10 times at least i tried to receive any help from ever i wrote and talked over chat and they treated me like garabage, so i started to treat EA like garbage also.
You in other hand, repeat same stuff all time, without answering a simple question.
For me this topic is best place to point all problem at one place regarding update 24.01. and ultimate collection, coz belive you or not everythung started after that.

I dont see a point to open new topics, none will help, coz EA and Origin treat custimers like garbage.
I have 3 PC and 3 PS4, you cant imagine how much EA games i have... But still i will NOT buy EA product ever again.
I dont understand how you can excuse this approach. This origin app is really hell. I bought these games in January, the first from origin, the first week lost trying to run the origin and the second week trying to run these games. After 2 weeks I played for the first time thanks to this forum, not ea. Because here I found better advice from the players than I get from their official support, lol! Even after a month, the bug is not removed, is it? Their development team is either a bunch of amateurs or they don't care about it at all, probably think that when the game is old and low cost so may not work. I hope this is the last time I needed to buy game from Origin. And I could have a C&C pack on Steam for 9.5EUR and I could play after two clicks ...

@BLAyEnnHow hard it might be, just try to be patient, the fix will come in time. They told us that the Origin-team is working on it 🙂 I hope also that they fix it soon. Fixing bugs just takes time.
But I hope that people stop making general complaints about EA and Origin in this topic as is really doesn't help anybody from the community... You know what I mean? I know EA and Origin aren't perfect, but complaining about it constantly doesn't help anybody and only starts to annoy people from the community who try to help people 🙂 Haha, at least it annoys me a tiny bit sometimes... @BLAyEnn I dont understand, nor i can find that C&C pack on steam.... Does it exist, can you please place a link here?

Goodbye Origin!
When do you think it is in time? In 2 months, in half a year? They could go back to the latest version of Origin that worked until it was fixed and it would be resolved immediately. Instead, it forces users to upgrade to versions where the bug by preventing them from being old online. Why? Because they don't care about this. I am not impatient, for me it is solved, the games I needed I have downloaded and thanks to the old version of origin I can play. Origin I prefer not to update anymore, I do not want to risk again in the future lose access to my games for 2 months 🙂 And hope no other game of origins will no longer need ...
(Yes, the C&C pack is C&C RA3 - C&C4 (last 5 games) but now it costs a lot, in January was a big discount on old games on Steam. I have many years C&C first decade on discs (first 12 games) games, so only needed these last 5 games. @BLAyEnnI don't personally know how long it will be before the Origin-team will fix the underlying bug, but in the mean time you can use this workaround to fix the problem and play the CNC-games: https://answers.ea.com/t5/C-C-The-Ultimate-Collection/Can-t-launch-C-amp-C-The-Ultimate-Collection-games-after-24-01/m-p/8716040#M17504 The Origin-downgrade workaround was adviced in the beginning of this topic, but the workaround above is a bit simpler, fixes the problem and allows Origin to be updated. I would thus advice to update Origin and then apply the above workaround.
Origin (but also platforms like Steam) need to be updated to keep the online store, DRM etc. working correctly and fix some bugs. Yes, EA could have maybe have rollbacked to a previous version of Origin, but that would have probably erased progress on other bug fixes. So, it is not that EA/Origin doesn't care, they are just still working on the fix according to @EA_Kent It has been around 4 weeks now since this bug started to appear on this forum, so I hope the fix for you guys comes soon 🙂
The Steam-versions are indeed very expensive, even more expensive than The Ultimate Collection on Origin during Steam-sale. The disc-versions won't work on Windows 10 as it doesn't support its crappy SecuRom DRM anymore (Windows 7 and 8 also don't support it anymore, but it can be re-activated there.) So, buying the disk-versions would be useless, especially in the future...Edit: Btw, I remembered you already "complained" about this bug, but especially Origin earlier this week.
