Re: Chat filter not working correctly

Do we really need a chat filter? I find it very annoying since it filters out totally harmless words in other languages. It is also very seldom someone speaks "badly" and if they do, they can either be reported or simply kicked out of the clan. Lastly it feels that americans are a more sensitive to swearing than many other countries. Why should all other be punished with this crap because you're so uptight?

  • Completely agreed. The best solution would be to disable the chat filter. Especially when a company is completely unable to configure it correctly.

The chat filter may as well be disabled. Anyone who uses an excessive amount of swear words can be reported and kicked from their alliance. I think the chat filter is somewhat redundant since you can report someone for swearing excessively. Even words that have a swear word in them but mean a different thing compared to that swear word are target. Words like scatter (which as scat in it) are often falsely flagged. There are also a bunch of words that sound dirty, but are actually a different thing all together. Here's the link: 50 words sound rude but are not
