Re: Command & Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath crash

I have the same problem but my drivers are up to date and I have no option for making "profile" in graph menu.

So any other fix?

Which dedicated video card do you have? (like a NVidia 970) Are you sure you are running the game selecting your dedicated video card to run it? Are you using The Ultimate Collection or an old CD-version? Which Windows-OS are you running? Did you install any cracks, modifications or mods?

I dont understand second question (how can you run game without the card XD)

I bought all c&c games at once as a pack on origin

    Win10

    No modifications

Thanks for the info @darvla and sorry for the very later response; not that often online on this site: What I meant with the second question: make sure that you run the game with your 1080ti instead of your crappy Intel HDwhatever. You can do this by settings the preferred graphics card that Generals uses to your Nvidia graphics card; do this by going into the "Manage 3D settings" of the Nvidia Control Panel --> let it load all the programs --> select Generals.exe or click on add and point it to the executable yourself --> click apply --> try to start the game and see if that works. Exactly when do you get this crash btw? Is there any error message, when yes, can you provide us with a screenshot?

  • @mrtnptrs Exactly the same problem here. Playing with video card settings is a red herring - it's not that kind of crash. My solution was to download and install a complete Kane's Wrath campaign autosave (from TrainersCity). Using this, the mission played correctly.
