Re: Game Balance and Matchmaking - We want your feedback!

Westwood/EA PLEASE LISTEN!!!

Command and Conquer has come a very long way through the years. RTS lovers like myself have grown to love the franchise and what we know and love so much about C&C is the ability to play through the campaign on both factions and let the story fold out. Ive been playing Rivals for awhile now, and the mechanics are great and so is the concept. But this game needs an extensive campeign to be largely successful. Yeah its great to be able to play aginst other people, but we need to be able to play against AI. I do not enjoy PvP only games. It isnt near as fun as being able to hone your skills through AI practice and have a story to follow and complete. Trust me, if you integrate a campaign into this game you will knock it out of the park! On top of that, the game as is would be MUCH more fun and addictive if players can play Rival AI players instead of solely human players. I know this is the alpha release and there will be much more game to come, and i may be jumping the gun. But please, for the love of Command and Conquer and hardcore players like myself, integrate a campaign and AI rivals play! It will be so much infinitely better of a game and be a gamechanger for mobile gaming.

I feel like the Jump Jet troopers are too overpowered. Just make a batch at the start of the round and go kill the opponents harvester. They move so fast they can easily avoid any units sent after them. The opponents will be behind the whole match with no way to recover. I've quit so many matches because of this. It's getting old...
  • If you're having to chase a jumpjet trooper around, you're dealing with it wrong. Two quick infantry on either side of your harvester attempting to surround the Jumpjets negates their entire rush.

Another tip, you don't need to rush out a harvester, delaying it a few seconds until you figure out what your opponent is doing is fine. Whenever you're dealing with a rush, your focus should be on defending the harvester, once you get it under control you can focus on the missile.

If you just build more infantry, they will just build more jump Jet troopers. And if you need two to counter every one of thiers than it's a losing battle.

Infantry counter Jumpjet's, extremely hard. Once you've defended your harvester push to take the platforms and position your infantry in a way so that when he tries to dash past the jumpjets will lose half their health and keep one infantry near the harvester if any manage to get by. Jumpjets are a squad unit, this means as they lose health, they lose damage. If you kill two of them in the squad they just lost 50% of their damage potential.

I don't know how you think they're winning the battle, if it takes them 2 jumpjets to finally kill your harvester, they didn't get ahead since they spent 100 to gain 100, they simply managed to recover from their failed/overcommitted rush. If their rush is failing, you should be focusing on making sure their economy stays shut down by getting a tank out for the sole purpose of targeting their harvester if they try to build one.

  • A units that needs to ge fixed ASAP are MG squads. A group of two or three plus pitbulls camped near your base is impossible to get through. MGs should either cost more or reduce their range from 2 to 1. Also, whats up with Nod's over abundance of anti infantry? Its kind of weird.

You might have trouble with the mg suads because of your deck composition. Try venoms/talons. Mg squads will be unusable if their dps gets down. If you dont want them near your base scout at the start of the match and when you see them just bring counters. If your opponent managed to bring them near your base its your fault not the mg squads fault. If for exmple your opponent managed to bring a disruptor and a zone trooper compo its your bad decision making. Im not trying to be bad at anybody but from my experience that's the truth. And people please. Just because you want to use a unit badly or just because you want to counter a unit more effectively it doesnt mean that any unit should be boosted or have its stats decreased. Just try different decks and you will find a deck that suits you and will use or counter powerfull units
