If I understand correctly how this game works, then it really is pretty weird. Imagine a Venom standing on a certain hex field, not moving. Then an infantry unit comes along and moves all the time. It moves in one line, crossing the map beneath the Venom. Then, if I understand correctly, the Venom would be able to shoot at the infantry unit when it is 1 hex field away, but not at the moment when the infantry is directly below it. The question also is, what if the unit which is moving is not exactly 1 or 0 fields away, but something in-between?
There are some really weird design choices in this game. Perhaps they would make sense if you knew why they were made. But since these things are never told to us unless by chance, stuff seems often weird.
