- mrtnptrs6 years agoSeasoned Ace@KirovCZ Does re-applying that suggested CNCNet RA2-fix now work? @Nyerguds Do you maybe have any other suggestions? This topic is getting now so long that it gets a bit confusing haha
- @mrtnptrs Now, I can play Skirmish very well
- mrtnptrs6 years agoSeasoned Ace@KirovCZ So, the problem is solved? đ
- @mrtnptrs Not quite, the same problem is with Generals too, but forget about it
- mrtnptrs6 years agoSeasoned Ace@KirovCZ Ok, if you ever want to look further into it then please give all the current problems you still have with the game and also mention which previous problems are now really fixed đ
Hello
Problem with launching C&C games goes back in awhile, personally i got Origin version of C&C:TW3 and kanes wrath, just tried couple of days ago with new updated version of origin but it still refuses to launch, origin status message shows playing while game is not even loaded up to the memory, unistall and install origin and C&C games didn't help.

CM Edit: Please do not link to third party download sites.

@KuriVaiMThis user clearly doesn't have that problem as the even better workaround doesn't work for him: https://answers.ea.com/t5/C-C-The-Ultimate-Collection/HELP-RA2-amp-YR-won-t-launch-on-Windows-10-fix/m-p/8809804/highlight/true#M17793 Plus I heard from the guy that created the Origin-downgrade workaround, that it doesn't work anymore. And downgrading to a old Origin-version is not advised as it can make other Origin-related services unavailable or unstable. Plus it seems that @KirovCZ thus doesn't have that same CNC-games on Origin-launch bug.... as the better workaround doesn't work for him, at least he said that.
@KirovCZ Are you 100% sure that you fully applied this workaround, rebooted and then tried to run the games? (please try it again):
- Go to Control Panel (the desktop version).
- Clock and Region.
- Region.
- Click on the Administrative tab on the top.
- Under Language for non-Unicode programs, select the button Change system locale, then select English (United States) or tick Beta: use unicode utf-8 for worldwide language support. (You can also just do both for good measure)
- Restart your computer.
- @mrtnptrs It works, thank you, thank you, you are a god !
- @mrtnptrs a new problem, after a while of playing the campaign, the game has a big lag and I have to turn off the game from the desktop

@KirovCZVery nice that you're comparing me to a god, but just so you know, I've never made a tree :P But I just provided you with the same workaround-instructions I did before, so please next time follow the instructions correctly that I send through a link to avoid all this confusion next time haha.
Your second comment now makes me feel like a fallen god, a relic of the past âšī¸ Haha, which CNC-game do you encounter this error with? And can you please describe the problem/symptoms in much more detail? What are the specifications/hardware of your PC/laptop?Btw, sorry for the late answer; had a bizzy week with exams and hallmates đ
- @mrtnptrs Red Alert 2, I tried the 1st mission of the Allied campaign, and while destroying the soviet base the game has a lag, my game freezes, I still can hear the sounds normally, I can command the units but my screen is frozen.
I'll find out how I do that, and I'll send you the specs - mrtnptrs6 years agoSeasoned Ace@KirovCZ Make sure to disable any overlays like Revora or Origin in-game. That can mess with the game.
Did you also apply this again for the game?: https://answers.ea.com/t5/C-C-The-Ultimate-Collection/Playing-RA2-and-everytime-I-load-mission-everything-blows-up/m-p/8313494/highlight/true#M17054
Do the other CNC-games work perfectly for you?
