Re: Server disconnect results into lost in player progression

Hi @mirroredhunter and sorry to hear that.

The other player is receiving a message when the opponent disconnects from the match (for whatever reason).

Since Rivals is a competitive game, we had to make sure it is fair. So if a player is disconnecting from the game he will lose the game. It doesn't matter, if he lost connection or rage-quit, the outcome is the same.

Imagine if a player is about to lose and then disables his network connection, which will result in him being disconnected from the match, without being punished for doing so.

But for my case, its extreme lag. There's so much lag when someone else uses the internet that the game becomes unplayable. I'd just wish if the player disconnects due to severe lag, it won't be counted as a defeat but as something different. Maybe something like 'dropped by server due to lag' or something.

I'm no longer playing the game cause of this extreme lag and that I get busy often, which causes me to leave my game unattended. I battled a player once who appears to have left his game unattended. He/She only produced a harvester by the time I scouted with air units. Also I can't keep up to the gold league players, I win one fight only to lose the next and the cycle repeats, leading me nowhere.

When does GDI players meet nod players? Is it gold league, sliver league, when he unlocks Nod or what?
