You can do this by challenging other players within your alliance to a friendly battle.

  • That just isn't the same, where is the fun in that. It's much more amusing to see who you get put against, someone whose build you may not know at all, plus there'll always be other players to play against, compared to battling your friends over and over, which would get stale, that and they have to be online y'know.

    I agree, it's not the best, but yeps just pointing out that such a thing exists. Also I guess it depends on everyone's definition of what is fun right. Nevertheless I think the issue ultimately boils down to proper planning and structuring, because no one is totally sure how this impacts ranked matchmaking (eg. unhappy ranked players will shift to unranked, which makes ranked even worse because the player pool becomes smaller). I heard there were plans to include settings for custom matches where you can standardize unit levels, so hope that will solve the issue.
