I realize that this was posted a couple of years ago, however I am a mahoosive fan of C&C And I got the Origin 17 games edition, I had this issue for Red Alert 2, start a new campaign Tanya would die as soon as control was handed over to you and then if you restarted the mission, she would die before you even see her.
I was able to fix this issue by going into Origin and hovering over the game so that it gives you the Play button or the info button, Click on Info then go to "game properties" on the "Details" tab and tick the "disable Origin in game for this game" not really sure as to why this worked but it did for me.
Any one in the future looking to remissness the good ol' C&C days hope this helps.
