When I run Red Alert 1 I get an error msg "Error - unable to set the video mode" then it returns to the Origin client. This appears to be a Red Alert generated error. Have quad core processor running 7pro with a radeon HD 3200 vid and 4GB ram.
Sorry a bit premature - appears most of the ultimate collection will not run due to video errors. Got Generals to run but could not get any sound at all. Went into game settings but no good.
This error means that your chosen resolution is not supported, in Red Alert 1 you cannot change the resolution since the game only supports 640x400 (or 640x480 with black bars), get the patch linked below to update Red Alert 1 with a high resolution patch, after you installed the patch make sure you go to the config program change your resolution (you can use the detect button)

If you still end up with the same problem then make sure you have DPI scaling disabled, change it back to the default setting (100%)
