Red Alert 1: Saving Skirmishes

As far as I remember, there was an option to save your skirmishes if you had Red Alert 1 and both addons installed. (a long long time ago, when PCs ran on Win 95 and the original versions on CD simply installed)

Searching the web on this subject brought something like "yes, it was/is possible, but not always, no idea what's the reason for this".

So I tried different maps (in case this might be responsible) but no save button in the options.

Is my memory corrupted? Is there any way to get to save my skirmishes?

Saving skirmishes was never available in the official versions, but was added some years ago by hacker/patcher Iran. This functionality has been included in the RA1 upgrades added by the CnCNet online system. So if you install that, and launch your Skirmish game through their launcher, you will be able to save the game.

Thanks! Not the kind of solution I was thinking of, but a good solution. 🙂

Fortunately, I haven't bought the Ultimate Collection solely for Red Alert skirmishes. 🙂
