Red alert 2 / Yuri's revente (black screen)

Hello,

I have purchased and downloaded the C&C ultimate collection.

I installed Generals and Red Alert 2/Yuri's revenge. Generals is working just fine, as for Red Alert & Yuri's revenge are not. The installation was successful but when I first enter to the game, I get a black screen but I can still hear the introduction and later on the music that is usually played in the options page.

Therefore, I am unable to access and play the game.

Please help.... thank you 🙂

    The graphics system patch DDWrapper is known to solve the "black screen" issue for many people.

    Download the zip file and extract "ddraw.dll" and "aqrit.cfg" into your game folder. Then, open the configuration file "aqrit.cfg" in Notepad, change the "ForceDirectDrawEmulation" option to 1, save the file, and the game should work.

    If you don't know where to find the game folder, open the Origin menu and select "Application Settings". In the settings screen, go to the "Advanced" section. Copy the address in the grey box, paste it in your Windows file explorer's address bar, and press [enter]. In the folder where you end up you will see the actual installation folders of your games.
