Red Alert 2 and Red Alert Yuri's Revenge

Question

Recently downloaded and successfully installed RA 2 and RA2 Yuri's Revenge and both are not working on Windows 8. I know for &nbsp;a fact they worked on Windows 7. The start up menu will pop up but when I go to click the selection of either RA 2 or RA2 Yuri's Revenge thats all I can do is click it. It will not do anything else. The game will not start up

Some people had success trying the following solution:Right click the game in your Origin Client and select Game PropertiesCheck the "Disable Origin in Game for this game" option
