Red Alert 2 crash

I have Command & Conquer The Ultimate Collection in my Origin client and Red Alert 2 (or Yuri's Revenge) is constantly crashing after a while. I re-installed the game, checked anti virus updates and spyware updates, I have more than enough diskspace on a Core i7 computer with Nvidia GTX 750 graphics card and SSD. Should be sufficiënt enough for this game right? Since I can play BF4 in pretty good resolution even. I have 24GB DDR RAM working memory as well!

See for yourself if you recognize the error reports on the screenshot and tell me what I can do in order to fix it....because I tried all other tips I read on the forum and it just does not work. I even replaced some file that causes the game to explode after a while (which also happens sometimes due to some anti copy protection or something, but it didn't work either). Origin should check this game on bugs lol....it should be easy to fix for an ancient game like Red Alert 2 right?

    Really? Why do you think bugs in older games are easier to solve than those in more recent games? EA might not even have the source code of these older games anymore. Not to mention, not a single one of the original Westwood developers still works for EA, so even if they still have that source code, a developer would be looking at a completely unfamiliar project with no idea of where to start.

    And then we're not even going into the fact there are no developers employed at EA for C&C anymore. Not since Generals 2 got canned, in 2013.

    Anyway, as for your problem... errors happen, yea. The best thing you can do is fiddle around with the compatibility mode on the game's exe file and see what makes it run with the most stability.

    The graphics system patch DDWrapper might work too; it is known to solve issues with the game. Not sure if that went beyond graphical issues, though. To install, download the zip file and extract "ddraw.dll" and "aqrit.cfg" into your game folder. Then, open the configuration file "aqrit.cfg" in Notepad, change the "ForceDirectDrawEmulation" option to 1, save the file, and the game should work.

    Hey @ARCUS1200

    I´ve seen other players reporting that running it in compatibility mode for Widows 98 may help.

    - Right click your game exe;

    - Go to properties then the compatibility tab;

    - Select run in compatibility mode and then select your OS.

    Also try to update your graphics card and DirectX

    Hope it help.
