Which Windows OS-version are you running? I assume you are using The Ultimate Collection? So, the game initially shows up and is fully playable, but after a minute or so it minimizes?

I'm using Ultimate Collection on Origin Windows 10.
I got it fixed with the minimizing/alt-tab by doing with this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6b92hItwQcw
Also disabled some startup services and so.
So I can play as long as I don't manually alt tab.

Really strange that the Ddraw solution from that video wasn't incorporated in the thread I linked to. What you did is basically what it said here: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Command_%26_Conquer:_Red_Alert_2#Black_screen_with_switchable_graphics Disabling some startup services most likely won't help, so you can undo that.
