I purchased a membership to play Red Alert. When I open Red Alert 2 I get the option to play Red Alert 2 or Yuri's Revenge.
Yuri's Revenge will start and play just fine.
Red Alert 2 only gives me this, "Error - Unable to set the video mode.
Help!
Community ManagerHey @PrivetRian_9pf9 can you go ahead and open your install directory for the game and from there right-click in the games .exe and then click on properties, compatibility and Enable reduced Color mode, 16bit.

tried that for all the application files but still no luck.
I get the pop up option on which game to play and Yuri works fine but RA2 doesn't.
Any luck on this? I have the same issue and can't find an answer.
Community ManagerHey all, can you try the following? Navigate to your install folder and find the file game.exe. Right-click on it and select properties and then compatibility. From here enable reduced Color mode, 16bit.
Once done, try launching the game to see if you see the same error.

i have exact ame problem, yuris revenge will work, but original will not launch. any solutions?
I dont even get an error window. it just opens up origin and goes round in cirlces, without launching
