Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge crashing & freezing

I've tried an entire list of "fixes" so far and nothing has solved the issue for me. I can't complete any missions because the game either freezes or crashes midway. I've been having this issue for ...

    Disregard this post. I managed to go through it again and fix it.

    Steps I took for anyone that has the same problem and gets confused by the many posts that give different steps:

    1. Download from Origin
    2. Launch game
    3. Download zip file from ddwrapper
    4. Extract and place "aqrit.cfg" and "ddraw.dll" into the Red Alert 2 directory
    5. Overwrite files if asked
    6. Open "aqrit.cfg" and set "ForceDirectDrawEmulation" to 1
    7. Launch game
    8. Download and install the CnCNet YR client
    9. Exit CnCNet YR client and launch Red Alert 2 normally through Origin
    10. Play

@Daevawolf So I’m confused did you fix it with the list you made? I have the same problem it keeps freezing mid game I can’t even play the story with out it freezing randomly

    @Tiba1999 Yeah those are the exact steps (in order) I took when I managed to fix the game for myself.
    It allows me to play through the campaigns without any issues.
