Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge Won't Appear

The game is "running" but the launcher won't appear on my screen and is considered a background process than an app. What happens is that it syncs and nothing happens after it's finished doing so. I tried the repair option, exiting and entering Origin, uninstalling and reinstalling, and it didn't work. I also tried to wait, but the launcher never appears, RA2:YR worked before. A mod that I have is also behaving the same way.

    There is an old LAN patch (cncnet4) that could cause such problems, the file is named "wsock32.dll", did you place such a file into your game folder maybe?

    There is something faulty with the exports, it somehow sends windows into a endless loop. Should be easy to fix, I might take a look into it one day

    Thank you two for your help. I don't know how, but Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge is now suddenly working with the old launcher somehow restored. When I first removed wsock32.dll it didn't work. But the second time I did it worked. It may or may not have contributed to the solution. Things for me just suddenly fix themselves after awhile.
