Red alert 2 yuri's revenge

Question

Hey a while back i bought the red alert series pack for the sole purpose of playing red alert 2 Yuri's revenge.

When i played the original it worked fine had a blast then i moved onto the expansion pack only now the Yuri's revenge lagged so bad it was unbearable.

So giving the benefit of the doubt to your guys i fixed up my computer recently and upgraded. Still lagged as bad as before. I then tried a compatibility run for every version of windows now change so now I'm broken hearted slightly and at my wits end Suggestions any one?

What resolution are you running on? People these days have the tendency to run older games in their native resolution and then complain that there's lag, while this is obviously just because the engine was never designed for handling quite that many game elements on the screen at the same time.

(I think for YR the config file is called RA2MD.ini, though)
