Red Alert and Red Alert 2 Win 10 problems

Hello,

I have some problem with Red Alert and Red Alert 2 under  Win 10.

On laptop, both games works just fine when installed from origin. But on the desktop with 1920x1080 monitor i have some issues (dont know if they are caused by the use of monitor).

In Red Alert I can see only just about 2/3 of the screen, the right and lower side of screen missing, so i cant see the settings or exit game items in the main menu  or play the game etc.

In Red Alert 2 i have problem with, when the game starts, I cant see any main menu. The radar animation goin well, sound plays (also the intro plays ok), but the menu dont appear.

Any tips how to fix these problems ??

  • @KO23L Moved this over to the Command & Conquer board, as it doesn't seem to be an issue with Origin. Hopefully someone here will be able to help you. 🙂 Take a look at the stickies at the top of the board while you wait, there might be something relevant to your problem. 😉

@KO23L - perhaps a DPI scaling issue, is your DPI for windows set to 100%?

Failing that, CnCNet does a really good job at fixing all of the compatibility problems that come with the newer versions of Windows 7, 8, and 10.

Let me know how you get on, the installers should auto-detect your origin installs.

Hi, please, by the DPI settings you mean the slider in display settings called: "Change the size of texts, applications and other ..."? That could be the problem, because the desktop Iam trying it on is of my 60+ yo father, so maybe he has there something upscaled 😃 to see all good. I will check that tomorrow. Thanks for tip.
