Tiberium sun rules.ini

hey

so i bought the ultimate collection months ago, love the c&c games and tiberium sun has to be my favourite

but i have a small problem, im wanting to modify the settings slightly and there should be  a rules.ini file sitting in the install directory which there isnt, if i install the game from my cd version which i  bought years ago i get all the files etc, if i reinstall from origin it only gives me some of the files and one of the main files missing is the rules.ini

why is this?

    For modifying game settings, look in sun.ini

    rules.ini is the file containing all of the internal unit/structure/weapon/etc stats. Modifying them immediately makes the game incompatible in multiplay, too. So it's not that odd that such a file is not simply in the game folder, right? It's an internal file, inside the game's .mix archives. You can use a tool like XCC Mixer to extract it.
