The commander emotes are a waste. if you are in a competitive game you have no time to use them. If you take your eye of the game play you can lose. Just to press a button and gloat. now if you could use them passively that would be fine. but you have to go up during a game and active them. not while i am playing, i will concentrate on winning the game.
