upgrade directx from 11 to 12 caused error
Installed new video card which upgraded directx from 11 to 12. Now get error demanding directx 8.1 or later from both Generals and Zero Hour off First Decade disk.

I think there was something in there about DirectX older Versions Install. Failing that, find a Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars Original Disc, it should have the DirectX Installer on that disc, and thus, you might be able to get the System to recognise it there. If Command & Conquer 3 is already installed, find the DirectX Installer in its Program Files directory. It will be DirectX Version 9c if I recall correctly.
Alternatively, consult the Graphics Card's Manufacturer Pages and Support for more assistance. - @BatFiver Use GenPatcher, it fixes this problem.
