Yuri's revenge freezes on network screen
So me and my brother tried playing Yuri's revenge on win7, first problem was that we couldn't get into network, googled the issue and found the problem. Next we had the same serials, solved that as well, now we got a new problem that we cannot find an answer for, my brother's network play menu will always be missing a "Join" or "new" option, not only that, but when he joins a game his game freezes, the music still plays, his mouse still moves, and mousing over a button still makes the game react, but anything he clicks does not work, and he needed to alt ctrl delete his way out. We are both using the ultimate collection version of Red alert 2 Yuri's revenge, we have tried reinstalling the game, and still get the problem, anybody know a fix for this?

What may have happened is that you got a pop-up from your firewall application (Windows Firewall by default) asking whether or not to permit the game to connect to private/public networks. And since the games don't tolerate multi-tasking on newer systems, that's why it seemed to have locked up for you.
Put "game.exe", "gamemd.exe", "mph.exe", "mphmd.exe", "ra2.exe", "ra2md.exe", and "YURI.exe" (yeah, I know, RA2 and YR have a lot of executables) into your firewall exception lists before trying to connect with someone in multiplayer.
