Activation Limit on serial number exceeded.

I purchased this from steam, it's not installed on any computer now , why do I get this message when I try to run MY GAME.

My old PC bit the dust so bought a new one. I installed Dead Space on my new one and when I clicked play, I get "For security reasons only a limited number of machines can ever be licensed by a single purchase. Please purchase another registration code, reinstall and try again." When I bought the game, Origin didn't exist. Once I got this message, I checked EA forums and saw that others have this problem. On one, some EA tech person said that he/she needed to create an Origin account and install the game that way. I tried that and am getting the same message about my code. Tried the chat function three different times and still can't play. 

@DarthGangrenous  You should be able to use the Authorization Tool here to de-authorize the game and so allow new installations: http://activate.ea.com/deauthorize/

Norton is blocking the Authorization Tool link and the download came with a virus.

@DarthGangrenous Sometimes Norton and other anti-virus programmes can throw up a false positive, there is no virus in the download. I downloaded the tool myself and had no issue using it. 

You just need to contact a customer and it will solve you easy! I just solve it a few second with a nice guy , dont remember his name , i was like Vivek ( i think ) . But it solved the problem fast.
