Yes it's all captured in the video and I've also attached the dxdiag output. It looks like another patch may be incoming soon but I am not holding my breath. I am wondering if this issue is now just being ignored. However, due to complete lack of comms we will never know.

  • I uninstalled the game and requested a refund. I thought I would come back to this thread expecting the latest patch (released a week ago) would have fixed this crackling issue. Pretty bad that this is not the case.

@High_Technic Honestly I'm at the point where I'm considering refunding it too. The worst part is the game itself is so cool, I just refuse to play the game in the state it's in on my end. I even reinstalled the game and played it before typing this and I'm still experiencing audio crackling; stutters and even a cutscene was missing a character. I don't understand how the PC port is still in this condition. And it's not even like my PC is low end or below the miminium requirements either..
  • Right. I don't think that matters to EA. PC Gamers are always left to their own devices, since they have always proven to be very resourceful. Heck, the modding community caters to games better than their own developers. Hence, EA is probably saying to themselves: " We make sure that the Console Version is great and with minimal flaws, we'll get to the PC Version when we can, that is, if the PC community did not find a way to solve the problem to begin with."

So don't know if this will help because I tried all settings on my audio settings under the sun, but I managed to minimize the crackling/popping, to a single pop every 30 seconds or so, by setting my speaker properties format setting to 24 bit, 192000 Hz (Studio Quality), and running the game in fullscreen exclusively. It's November already AND THIS IS STILL AN ISSUE EA!!!!
