Dead Space 3 achievements not trigger (at all)
Hello! I just started my playthrough of Dead Space 3. Originally I had it on Steam w Awakened DLC. So, it forced me to install and log in using Steam ID in EA app. Fine. Then I played. And played, and played. And then I found out that none achievements are present in Steam. I look in EA - also none. But I`m already in the middle of the story, I definitely have "Survived the space walk" (Space Odyssey achievement), "Completed the Prologue" (Stranger in a Strange Land) and many others. See the attached screenshot I tried to search forums, but it looks like people are having issues with getting specific achievements, while I cannot get any. What can be the problem? What is my checklist to troubleshoot? It could be relevant - my EA app overlay is turned off, also it is counting my "in-game time" as 8 minutes (but it sets "in-game" status in EA app, while I'm playing), while it is 8 hours in Steam. And Im playing on Win11 Pro 24H2, intel i5-10th, SSD, RTX 3060.SolvedTraversal stutter appears CPU-bound during streaming events
Hi Motive team, Traversal stutter during area transitions is still consistently reproducible. The game otherwise maintains high and stable FPS, but frametime spikes occur when moving between sections of the Ishimura. Based on testing, this does not appear to be GPU-limited. Average framerate remains high, and the issue persists on fast SSD/NVMe storage. The behavior feels more CPU-bound during streaming events, as if workload spikes occur when new assets are loaded. Interestingly, reducing storage throughput (via a community workaround) lessens the severity of the spikes, which suggests the issue may be related to how aggressively assets are streamed and processed rather than raw hardware limits. I understand that large engine-level changes may not be feasible at this stage. However, if there are any adjustments that could smooth CPU workload during traversal (such as streaming pacing or buffering changes), even partial mitigation would significantly improve smoothness. Dead Space Remake is otherwise an outstanding experience, and this remains one of the only technical issues affecting immersion. Thank you for your time.Frozen game bug
So I was playing impossible mode and I was a few hours into the game, and then out of no where I enter the shop and my game is just not letting me interact with any of the controls. No matter what I do, the game does not want to budge and let me move and interact with it anymore. I am only allowed to click into the menu to pause the game and do anything I want in the menu section, but cannot actually PLAY the game. I don’t want to restart this all over again because of some bug that won’t let me do anything at all and continue. I’ve tried pressing circle on my controller (PS5 controller,) and messing around with the controls, and testing my internet and I’ve tried searching for videos or anything to fix this but I guess maybe I’m the only who’s had this bug??? my character is still doing his little movements while he looks at the shop, and there’s lights flickering in the background, but I cannot interact and control my game any longer. If anyone knows or thinks of a possible solution please help! I’m deep into the game and don’t want to restart all over again. Please help EA or anyone else! (P.S. I did not create a save in the past 4 hours because I wanted to save once I was leaving the ship around chapter 10-11, thank you.)Cannot get DS3 to launch (STEAM)
I have tried fresh installs of EA app and DS3, my accounts are linked, I have tried running compatibility modes for win 7 and 8, running as admin, clearing caches, verifying integrity of game cache, restarting my pc multiple times, disabling both steam and EA app overlays. I do not understand what is going wrong. I launch the game, it says "preparing game" in the EA app, screen goes black with cursor loading wheel, then it closes and EA says "failed to start the game." Please help.Potential fix for your (PC) controller not working in Dead Space (2023)/Remake
I have a Keychron K2 HE keyboard that causes problems in a handful of games (Dead Space (2023)/Remake and Sekiro are the ones that I know of so far), where this keyboard is recognised as the primary gaming controller and renders my Xbox wireless controller completely unusable in these games. No input from my Xbox controller registers in these games whatsoever - with or without Steam Input enabled - unless I unplug the keyboard, which is far from ideal, so I wanted a better solution. After a lot of research, I found the best solution for me was to use "HID hide" (https://github.com/nefarius/HidHide) to hide my Keychron Keyboard from the affected games. It was very simple to implement the fix, and here are the steps required: -Download HID Hide -Install it and reboot when prompted -After the reboot, open the newly-installed "HID Hide Configuration Client" -Go to the "Devices" tab and find your Keychron K2 HE (or similar device causing the issue) -Click on the device and tick the "Enable device hiding" box -Unplug the device and replug the device -Load your game and test it If your problem was caused by the same issue mine was, this will work. If it doesn't work, your problem may be caused by something else. Thanks to "nefarius" for creating and sharing "HID Hide"! Additional info: "HID Hide" runs as a Windows service in the background, and, upon installation, is set to start automatically, so after you have configured it, you don't have to revisit it unless you change devices or reinstall Windows. I think the reason the Keychron K2 HE is recognised by Windows 11 as a gaming controller is because it can be confirgured as a "controller" in the keyboard's management software. It's a pretty unique feature which I'd never come across before and therefore never experienced loss of controller functionality due to this specific issue.238Views0likes0Comments[Old Report] Controls stop working in Dead Space on Steam
I have a problem whilst playing the dead space remake on steam. Every so often, maybe 10 mins, then 5 mins, then maybe 30 mins later the controls will stop responding. If I wait for maybe 1 min the controls start responding again. I get this problem whilst playing on keyboard and mouse, wireless xbox controller or wired playstation dual sense controller. I have tried unbinding all the settings in the controls menu to just leave the keyboard and mouse settings active, this does not work. I have tried turning controllers off in steam, this does not work. I have tried running in big picture mode, this does not work either. Is there a known working fix for this ?, if not Is this something that is on the radar for a patch ? Thanks in advanceSolved7KViews0likes91CommentsReroute power from Electrical systems bug
Hello, I’m stuck on the reroute power electrical systems objective in chapter 4. The big boss was stuck in the electricity, and I believe it was supposed to have knocked the walls down. Now I can’t get through without dying…therefore I can’t complete the main quest. I saved right before this, and that’s my only save, so I cant start from a previous save.
