Can i play Dead Space 3 Co-op in Origin with a partner with another platform

Hi! Can i play Dead Space 3 Co-op in origin with a partner who has a Xbox 360 copy of DS3. Regards.

    Cross platform co-op is not currently supported.

I'm wondering if the Origin versions can still co-op with each other now being 6 years after release. Does it directly connect to host PC? Or is it yet another game dependent upon GameSpy that closed ages ago?

I'm considering buying a 2nd copy of the game for my laptop so I can enjoy co-op for the first time (with my nephew). Now that he is finally of age to enjoy gore games to the fullest.
