Chapter 3 - stuck on "activate control console" after turning on centrifuge

So I just downloaded the latest patch as of 02/02/2023 and the problem wasn't fixed. It still says to activate the console even after bringing down the two switches in the adjoining room, and the lift still can't be used after turing on the centerfuge.

In an answer to your question regarding which switch I did first, I actually missed the one on the left at first and ended up doing the one I had to cross over using the gondola first. (I opted for the lights and door over life support. I like to live dangerously).

That's how I did it too. Maybe it's the sequence in which you do it, that breaks the objective? Maybe it expects you to do the left one first 

So I bit the bullet and restarted the whole game over again, and the bug DID NOT repeat, and saved over the file I had before. It seems that is the only fix, but going forward I'm going to rotate two saves between chapters just in case.

I just noticed the issue on an Impossible run on 2/14/2023 on the Xbox Series X and S, both on the external SSD chip and internal memory. The problem was seen when connected to servers in Midwest of the US.

The symptoms match the other posts: "Activate the control console" remains as the objective well after it was activated, said console can be activated repeatedly without clearing, the previously activated tram has been seen to go back into lockdown until the save is reloaded, the infectors in the control room did not spawn after the fuel was restarted, normal enemy spawns in the centrifuge room did not emerge, the lift behind the centrifuge does not activate after the centrifuge is restarted, and the centrifuge start command can be pressed repeatedly without clearing even after the machine is clearly in motion.

The following have been attempted: verifying all consoles and games were fully updated, clearing cache at each change, installing on another console's internal memory, moving game from external to internal memory, and reinstallation on internal memory. Since it is an Impossible mode run, there is no second file or auto saves to load.

Same issue. Lift behind console wont trigger. Seems game breaking based on every forum and video I've watched there just doesn't seem to be a solution beyond starting over from the beginning and crossing your fingers. I honestly asked for a refund but Microsoft declined. Would LOVE if they EA addressed this. Not thrilled to replay 3 hours of this game just to ride an elevator. 

Having the same issue on ps5 previous saves do not work. PSN TrevCoff out of USA

If you are still running into this error try the following and see if this helps.

If you don't want to start a new save which I totally understand, save the game as a brand new save file. Close the game down, run a repair on it, and then manually load in into the new save and see if it syncs up.

You may have to manually load a previous save before this spot and repeat the save steps. This essentially creates a non corrupted save as if you started the game over with a new save.
