Co-op connection interrupted after a few minutes

Question

So me and my friend just got Dead space 3 from the Humble Bundle and we downloaded everything normally. But when we try to play together, it goes on for a couple of minutes. Usually until THe first few necromorphs in the crashed plane in the first level. What can we do to fix this issue?

If you can, you should try connecting directly with an Ethernet cable rather than wirelessly as this will give a more stable connection.
