Dead Space Traversal Stutter issue
I just purchases this game recently on PC expecting a fun and immersive experience in a narrative I once enjoyed years ago on the xbox 360 upgraded for modern standards on PC, however This game seems to experience consistent reproducible stuttering around boundaries in rooms such as half way points and just by doors, this takes a lot out of the immersion of an otherwise smooth experience.
this seems widespread, looking at my research it happens regardless of your machine specification.
I run it on a Ryzen 7800X3D, 4070 Super (12GB), 32GB DDR5 6000, It is installed on a gen 4 NVME from Crucial with ample space on a relatively fresh install of Windows 11. I have overlays disabled, Gsync Enabled, and I am running the game at 4K with a mix of Medium and High settings with DLSS set to Balanced.
I have changed settings around, lowering them, refreshing the shader cache, reinstalling the gpu driver, etc but to no avail. were it PSO caching issue you wouldnt be repeatedly experiencing it over the same area twice. and with the amount of backtracking in this game owing to the side missions, this becomes brutally obvious.
Im really saddened that one of my favouite franchises hasnt been treated with the respect and quality I expect from it and I am hesitant to purchase anything from EA again. I was considering purchasing BF2042 but held off becuase of this and the fact its on the same engine.
This forum was more difficult than it should have been to find but here we are, anyway please have a look into this, I really would like to finish this game sutter-free. is that too much to ask?
