First, quick run down of my set-up:
Mobo: Biostar A880G+
CPU: AMD Athlon II x3 455
RAM: G.Skill 8GB DDR3
GPU: PNY GeForce 210 1GB
OS: Windows 8.1 Pro Preview (64-bit)
I have everything installed into it's default locations onto my main 500GB HDD.
The only items plugged into my computer at the moment are the Ethernet cord, dvi monitor cable, power cable, and the wireless hub for my keyboard/mouse. So, no other USB devices or such.
All the drivers are up-to-date and windows itself is also completely patched as far as I can tell.
Already tried allowing the DeadSpace.exe through the firewall and setting exceptions for both the executable and entire Dead Space folder for Windows Defender. I don't have any other security measures installed. The only other program running on my computer (other than Origin) at the moment is Adobe Creative Cloud (Shutting it down doesn't affect anything, anyways). Also tried setting it to various capability modes, disabling in-game Origin, and launching it manually as administrator (Although, Origin is also being ran as administrator).
Whenever I attempt to launch the game from either the executable or from the Origin applications, I can see the program pop up on the Task Manager as "Dead Space™ (32-bit)" for just a second before apparently closing itself.
